vietnamese beef (bo luc lac)

so back when kevin and i were engaged, we would often rendezvous in Irvine because our wedding venues were in Orange County. there is an amaaaaazing vietnamese place in the same plaza as 85 C Bakery. we looooved to eat there and one dish we would always get was some sort of beef dish.

i came across this Vietnamese Shaking Beef recipe while browsing through the SkinnyTaste blog. it reminded me of that dish so i thought we should try it!

we followed the recipe exactly and we thought it was good! who knew that a dipping sauce of lime juice over salt and pepper for beef could be SO delicious!? now we have no idea how “authentic” this is, so i guess we’ll have to feed some of our vietnamese friends and see what they think 🙂
